Position Overview:
We are seeking a creative and strategic Social Media Marketing Manager to join our team. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing effective social media marketing strategies that elevate brand presence, drive engagement, and convert followers into customers.
In addition to strategy execution, this role is focused on people management, team development, and KPI performance. The Social Media Marketing Manager will oversee and mentor a team of social media specialists, ensuring their growth, productivity, and alignment with key business objectives. This individual will drive innovation in social media marketing while maintaining a results-driven approach to client success and campaign effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, develop, and oversee a team of social media specialists, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and high performance.
Develop and execute comprehensive social media marketing strategies that align with the overall marketing goals of the agency and its clients.
Create and curate engaging content across multiple social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and others.
Monitor, analyze, and report on social media performance metrics, ensuring KPIs are met and strategies are adjusted as needed.
Manage boosted content strategies, including execution and optimization to maximize ROI. While this role does not focus on managing traditional ad campaigns, experience with ad campaigns is a plus.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including content creators, designers, and clients, to ensure cohesive messaging across all marketing channels.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, platform updates, and emerging technologies to keep our social media strategies fresh and effective.
Foster and engage with online communities, responding to comments and inquiries in a timely manner to enhance brand loyalty.
Develop and conduct training and workshops for internal teams on best practices for social media marketing.
Ensure client success by proactively identifying opportunities to improve performance, increase engagement, and drive results.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Social Media Marketing Manager or in a similar role, preferably within a digital marketing or agency environment.
Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience developing and mentoring team members.
In-depth knowledge of social media platforms, their algorithms, and best practices for engagement and audience growth.
Strong analytical skills, with experience in social media analytics tools and performance measurement.
Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with a strong understanding of brand voice and messaging.
Creative mindset with the ability to generate innovative content ideas and campaigns.
Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to working with team members and clients.
Reporting Structure:
This role reports to the Directors of Creative Operations and Director of Client Operations.
